On Amazon, you judge an ad by its return from day one.

⠀

On TikTok Shop, that habit will kill you in week two.

⠀

Amazon sellers come in and do the sensible thing. Turn on ads. Watch the return. Cut anything that doesn't pay for itself by Friday.

⠀

On Amazon, that works. The shopper is already searching. Your ad just has to catch them.

⠀

On TikTok Shop, nobody is searching for you. They're scrolling. The ad only works if there's a video worth stopping for.

⠀

And in the first few weeks, you don't have those videos yet. Creators haven't posted. Nothing has been tested.

⠀

So the ads look terrible. The seller panics, cuts the budget, and decides TikTok Shop doesn't work.

⠀

It wasn't the ads. It was the order.

⠀

Videos first. Find the ones that already sell on their own. Then put money behind those.

⠀

On Amazon you buy the traffic.

On TikTok Shop you earn it first, then buy more of it.

⠀

If you came from Amazon, what was the hardest habit to drop?
