A brand I work with got pulled from TikTok's Black Friday campaign in October.
⠀
Not for bad products. Not for bad videos.
⠀
For parcels sitting on a loading dock.
⠀
Their carrier wasn't scanning orders when it collected them. So on TikTok's side, every order sat on "awaiting collection" for days. To TikTok, that looks like a seller shipping late.
⠀
The shop score slid to 3.3. Below 3.5, the doors start closing. Creator outreach gets limited. Campaign spots go to someone else.
⠀
And the team had done nothing wrong. The boxes were packed on time.
⠀
That's the bit Amazon sellers don't expect. On Amazon, a late scan is annoying. On TikTok Shop it's a growth problem. Late dispatch is the most common reason I see shops get held back, and in Q4 it's usually the thing nobody's watching.
⠀
Three things worth checking this week:
⠀
1. Pull five recent orders. Compare when they were collected with when tracking first scanned.
2. Check your score every morning until December, not just when something breaks.
3. If your carrier is slow to scan, push for a scan at collection, or move volume to one that does it.
⠀
Your ads can be perfect. If the score drops, none of it gets seen.
⠀
When did you last look at your shop score?
