One of our agents tried to ship samples for a product with zero inventory this week.........
Technically correct. Completely useless. A human caught it in ten seconds.
That isn't an argument against agents. It's the argument for building them properly.
Most brands using AI on TikTok Shop are on the first of four levels and are convinced they're on the third. They're chatting to a model that has never seen their shop, and calling the answers strategy.
Getting past that takes three unglamorous things. Live data, a memory the agent reads before it speaks, and a written list of what it must never touch on your account.
Once that's in, ours run the morning read for about $3 a day. Nobody on my team digs for numbers any more.
