I saw a fantastic post yesterday on Sponsored Brand and Sponsored Brand Video continuing to be underutilized on Amazon. While I completely agree with that callout, I'd take it a step further in stating that most SB / SBV utilization is far too product-specific for high-caliber brands, and not focused enough on brand messaging + differentiation from competitors, especially across categories that are saturated with cheaper alternatives.

Solo Stove and JBL Professional are doing an exceptional job of focusing more on brand details, differentiation, etc. which is ultimately much "stickier" over time vs. simply displaying a few top products and expecting the shopper to educate themselves on WHY they should buy a more expensive option. Communicating quality alongside brand identity is the name of the game here.

Pair that with Rufus-integrated Sponsored Ads, and this is a massive opportunity for brands running true upper-funnel initiatives and for brands that have a strong USP. Why? Rufus is already integrated into these search results, and if you can pair that with strong branding within your respective category, its going to incite a greater educational experience for every shopper that comes across your brand.

Repetition and maintaining placement are also key here - Brands that invest in maintaining the most-visible, most-engaging ad placement on Amazon OVER TIME are the ones that will see the strongest residual benefit. Strategic targeting + high impression share + high-grade brand-specific creative + Rufus integration = Greater consumer stickiness and greater educational impact for your brand.

What's your take on Rufus and how it pairs with Sponsored Brand / Sponsored Brand Video?
