Here’s Part 2/4 of my story that led to me founding Sophie Society:

Music taught me more about building teams than business school probably ever could.

At 16 I started playing guitar and got into bands. That turned into years of touring around the US and Canada and somehow got me onto live TV in France with a ska band.

Totally random but it taught me something big: most crazy results don’t come from one genius, but rather from a group of people all moving in the same direction.

That stuck with me.

Around that same time I got my physics degree and started realizing that systems thinking could be applied to companies as well as science.

That was a huge switch for me. I stopped thinking like a builder and started thinking like an operator.

That mindset helped me execute a marketing campaign for a solar company that directly led to a $8m commercial contract. That was one of the first times I really saw how clear thinking and execution can bring in real numbers.

Part 3/4 is next, and that’s where I started building companies for real and eventually found my way into Amazon. Keep an eye out for it.
