Lots of Amazon sellers do product research… backwards. They find something they think looks cool and get excited then only realize afterwards that either the demand isn’t there or the market doesnt want that version of the product. This is a mistake that can cost sellers months.

Its better to start with keywords.

Look at what people are already searching for on Amazon and group these searches by what shoppers want. Then find the gaps where demand exists but no current product is doing a great job.

From this you can source your product based on where the gap is.

Now you’re making decisions that come from real demand, customer pain points and feature gaps that also fit your margin targets.

Its pretty simple to do this:

1 - map the keyword landscape

2 - spot any unmet demand

3 - decide which product can fill it

4 - compare suppliers against the features you need

Doing this gives you a way better chance of winning than picking a random product and hoping it works.
