Something broke in TikTok Shop onboarding and nobody's talking about it.
Or maybe I'm the only one feeling it. Tell me.
Used to be simple:
Client grants us Shop access, we get everything in one go. Shop, ads, the lot.
Done in two minutes.
Now?
Two separate access requests. One for the Shop. Another for ads through Business Center.
And even when the Business Center invite finally lands, the permissions feel watered down compared to what we had before.
It's slowing every new client onboarding we run.
Clients get confused about why they're approving us twice.
We're chasing invites that sit pending for days.
And the ad access we eventually get isn't the full picture it used to be.
So I'm genuinely asking the LinkedIn hive mind:
👉 Are you seeing the same thing on new client setups?
👉 Is there a workaround I've missed?
👉 Has anyone found a cleaner flow through Business Center that doesn't feel like pulling teeth?
I can't be the only agency dealing with this.
Either everyone's quietly suffering and nobody's posted about it, or there's a trick I'm not aware of.
Happy to look daft if it means fixing a problem that's been eating our onboarding time for weeks.
