TikTok is paying agencies up to $4 million a year to sign brands

Yes, you read that right. Four million. Cash. Per partner.

TikTok announced it yesterday on their Partner Day livestream.

It's called Project Horizon, and ~100 agencies worldwide are in the programme. Eva is one of them (humble brag).

Here's the maths they're running:

👉 7,000+ enterprise brands doing $150M+ a year on Amazon or their own site are NOT on TikTok Shop yet

👉 TikTok wants them on the platform in the next 12 months

👉 They'd rather pay an agency $4M to bring each one in than spend it on direct sales

Agencies close faster.

And the onboarded brand pays it back ten times over in GMV.

This is TikTok making a very public bet: the platform is no longer for scrappy D2C brands and viral hacks.

It's going after Amazon's enterprise tier. Hard.

The question isn't whether big brands should be on TikTok Shop anymore.

➡️ The question is why they're not already. ⬅️

Fascinating moment in the industry. 👇
