Amazon's new gadget launched last week. By that night it had 1.7 stars.
It's called Bee. You clip it to your shirt or wear it on your wrist and it listens to every conversation you have, then writes up summaries and to-do lists for you. More than 100 people rated it on day one. Within two days every rating was gone. Amazon deleted the listing and started over (LOL).
They deleted all the reviews and started again - it's not going well...
But my honest first thought: "Who on earth wants to wear a wiretap?" Because that's all this thing is.
I do of course have a theory that our phones are already listening to us every minute of every day. Google says they aren't, but why do I keep getting ads for stuff I was just talking about? HMM??
Then I realized this has happened before.
Monday I break down what happened last time, and the one line on the Bee page that has a LOT to do with how shoppers are going to find your products. See you in the newsletter! (link in BIO)
