Are you exploring prompt-level insights in your campaigns? Hardly anyone is talking about it yet.
The Rufus Ads “Prompts” report is now available inside Sponsored Ads reporting.
Inside Sponsored Products reports, you can now select “Prompts” as a report type.
This allows advertisers to see the actual shopper prompts triggering ads inside Rufus-driven experiences.
This is a big shift.
Until now, Amazon ad optimization was built around:
• Search terms
• Keywords
• Targets
• Placements
• Audiences
But Rufus introduces a completely new layer of intent.
Shoppers aren’t just typing keywords anymore.
They’re asking questions and contextual prompts, similar to how people interact with AI assistants.
Think queries like:
“Best running shoes for flat feet”
“Comfortable scrubs for long shifts”
“Water bottle that keeps drinks cold all day”
These are intent-rich prompts, not just keywords.
With the Prompts report, Amazon is signalling a major shift:
Optimization is moving from keyword-based discovery → prompt-based discovery.
For brands and advertisers, this means:
- New visibility into conversational shopping behaviour
- Deeper insight into real shopper intent
- Opportunities to align ads and content with how people actually ask for products
We’re entering the AI-assisted shopping era on Amazon.
The brands that start analysing prompts today will be the ones that understand tomorrow’s demand first.
