2026 Toys & Games Safety Sheet DV Fiasco

Posted by u/eChapps

Hey all,

A large brand I work with just got 1,000+ toy listings flagged that they need to work with a TIC Lab to DV all their safety sheets. They have the sheets, problem is many are over 12 months old- you get the issue.

Unfortunately, there's now a company-wide debate on the following, though: If one seller/the brand applies for an ASINs DV and it get's approved, does it clear the whole ASIN, or does every individual seller on the same ASIN still have to order their own DV.

In my previous experience, with the old upload and approve system, one seller submitting it clears the whole ASIN. but now the wiki + support are unclear, and even saying:

"Each selling partner is responsible for their own product compliance. Submit your TRF to ensure compliance and protect your account. If you receive a notification, take the required action."

Experientially, I find that false; one seller can reactivate the ASIN for all other sellers. Anyone else have thoughts / experience with this new DV system?

Hi u/eChapps - compliance requirements like safety documentation can vary depending on the product and situation, so the best path here is to reach out to Seller Support directly for clarity on how Document Verification applies to your specific ASINs. They can walk through what's needed for your account. This product compliance documentation page also covers the general requirements and may help as a reference while you work through the process.
