I love creating environments where people genuinely connect, where they feel comfortable, put their guard down, and the night flows naturally. I believe gathering is an important part of the human experience.
But hosting isn't just a fun hobby of mine. It is part of the Envision Horizons marketing engine too.
At the end of the day, people want to do business with people they trust and can relate to. And you build that around a table, not in a deck.
During the marathon of Amazon Accelerate and Amazon Unboxed, I kept things interesting by hosting two big dinners:
In Seattle, Envision Horizons co-hosted with Xnurta in a stunning private dining room on the 16th floor, with a view of the whole city.
This week in San Francisco, we hosted another intimate dinner and for the first time ever, every single guest showed up. If you host events, you know how rare that is. There’s always a day of drop-off!
It is a reminder that your marketing has to be genuine to you or your brand if you want it to work. And it doesn't have to be hosting! Bring in whatever you're passionate about. Love writing? Build a Substack. Love music? Create concert experiences for you and your customers. There are so many ways to win, and you shouldn't force something that is not genuine to who you are.
