Here’s 5 ways you should be using Amazon Marketing Cloud:
There’s lots of talk about AMC on LinkedIn but few are giving you practical advice on how to implement AMC
1. Answer the question of how your ads work together
AMC which combination of ads have the best performance with the path-to-purchase, audience overlap, and custom queries
Path to purchase shows you which combinations of ads lead to the best performance, depending on your campaign KPIs
You can then use that info to reorient your campaign mix to drive better outcomes
2. AMC allows you target highly relevant audiences more strategically
You can boost bids for NTB customers, for example
This is huge for brands that sell consumables
3. It can help you create new audiences that are relevant to your best performing audiences
You can more strategically create layered audiences from data sets within Amazon or external data such as hashed customer lists or both
4. AMC can identify new-to-brand customers for sponsored products (which isn't available in the ad console)
5. For Vendors on 1P, you can use AMC to obtain customer lifetime value data back to five years and then back in to a customer acquisition cost. This is HUGE for consumable brands
And so much more
You can use AMC for both sponsored ads and DSP
At this point, there is no excuse to not use AMC
Not only have we been setting up AMC instances for our clients, we also incorporate AMC into our platform iDerive
We include the path-to-purchase, time-to-purchase, new-to-brand overview, and audience insights in our in-app reporting, which is just the tip of the iceberg
AMC has a lot of great data you can activate ahead of the fall Prime event to maximize your performance with a lead-in strategy
If your agency isn't using AMC, don't hesitate to reach out to me or Nectar to see what the opportunity is
