I lost a friend yesterday.

Adam Robinson, founder and CEO of RB2B, Retention.com and MoltSets, died unexpectedly in a plane crash on Sunday.

He was a guest on The CPG View in March 2025 - that is when we first met. We stayed in regular contact following our inital meeting. He told me he started out trading credit default swaps at Lehman Brothers, caught the entrepreneurial bug watching his roommates build Vimeo, and then built companies by being radically open about the work.

At the end of our conversation I told him he was doing a great job and to keep it up. I'm glad I said it!!

Life isn't a dress rehearsal.

This is our final act - all of us.

That isn't morbid, it's just true.

So give it “everything you've got”.

Call “the person”.

Say “the thing”.

Start “the company”.

Take “the shot”.

Be the most “you version of you”, the way Adam was. If you knew him, you know what I’m talking about.

Rest in peace, Adam. Thank you for showing up the way you did. We will miss you, my friend!
