My guilty pleasure: watching celebrity closet picks from The Criterion Collection

The Criterion Collection is a media company that preserves and restores classic movies

If you haven’t seen the closest picks series on Youtube, different celebrities walk into a closest of these films and pick out their favorites and explains what’s so special about them

I haven’t seen 80% of the movies they talk about (yet), but it doesn’t matter

just seeing the raw reactions and emotions of celebrities humbled by the actors and stories that mean so much to them gives me creative fuel

It reminds me that great film (and books) plays such an important role in our culture, fostering discussion of complex social issues or bringing us into the world of memorable characters experiencing life differently than us, so we learn something profound about the human experience that changes us, calls us to action

It makes me reflect on my own contributions as a writer and pushes me to do something more profound with the time and tools I have

I’m fairly certain there will be never be a Criterion Collection of Linkedin posts or B2B Thought Leadership ;)
