Hitting your Net PPM target doesn't end the conversation.

Hitting your Net PPM target doesn't end the conversation.
A vendor can work hard to reach a 40% target, then find that next year's conversation is about 45%.
If Net PPM is the only number you're measured on, you'll always be chasing it.
So the job isn't just to hit the number, it's to make the value you create visible to your VM when the number is where it needs to be.
➡️ Packaging improvements that cut Amazon's own fulfilment costs (SIOC is one example)
➡️ Lower return rates from better content and product quality
➡️ Work that Amazon used to do that now sits with your team
Put a £ figure on each of these and bring them into the table for the next AVN.
Most vendors I see prepare to defend and never prepare where they've added value over and above a Net PPM % and CM.
What value do you create for Amazon that isn't in your margin discussion today?
