Amazon just removed the ability to contact a customer who left a critical review.
Here's what we used to do. A customer leaves one star. Something went wrong. We reach out, no questions, and refund them. Often that's all they wanted. Someone heard them.
Amazon shut that door. The official reason is communication policy.
I get why, even if I don't like it. From Amazon's seat, "bad review, here's your money" looks the same whether you're fixing a real problem or buying silence. They can't see intent. They can only see the pattern. So they remove the channel instead of judging each case.
The cost is that honest sellers lose a real tool. The customer who would have been won back just stays unhappy.
Good service was never the problem. It got caught in a rule built for people gaming the system.
