“I named my PPC agent after the employee it replaced”
This was an actual post I saw on LinkedIn.
Tell me you’ve lost the plot without telling me that you have lost the plot.
This isn’t a debate on how wonderfully incredible AI is.
I’m all in on AI.
At BTR Media, we have implemented AI tools across every vertical of our business. It has improved almost every aspect of our business - efficiency, results, and retention.
It’s been game changing.
But is it ready to replace our whole team?
No. It’s nowhere near ready.
(And if you can confidently answer "yes, AI is ready to replace my team", this just tells me that you weren’t hiring and training your team very well in the first place....)
Do I believe AI is going to force a level of evolution in the workforce? Yes.
Will humans need to evolve their skills? Absolutely.
But do I think AI is at a point where it can seamlessly replace 100% of the human role?
Not quite.
The biggest mistake I see brands making?
Over automation without proper context.
🔶 Setting KPI’s without understanding the greater business impact.
🔶 Prioritizing operational efficiency and financial savings over quality.
🔶 Optimizing for an algorithm and not your audience. This might be THE biggest mistake I am seeing across the board!!!
(Hitting a RoAS target is EASY. But let’s talk about NTB, SNS, and focusing on creating demand rather than capturing it)
AI can accelerate great operators.
It can also accelerate bad decisions.
The winners won’t be the companies that replace humans fastest.
They’ll be the ones who use AI to make great humans even better.
