Spotted something new in Amazon Sponsored Product Ads today.

Under rule-based bidding for Sponsored Products, there's now a beta option:

"Automatically optimizing ROAS within the campaign budget"

Amazon doesn't really explain what this does anywhere.

My best guess?

You set your daily budget and Amazon's algorithm adjusts bids throughout the day to maximize ROAS while fully spending that budget.

No ROAS target. No floor. Just Amazon deciding what "optimized" means.

I'm always a bit skeptical when the platform controls both the bidding and the spending.

Curious to see how this actually performs. I will test and report :)

Has anyone tested this yet?
