How are we tackling the major issue every hiring team across the world is facing today, which is AI misuse?
Candidates are increasingly cheating by using AI tools, and we’ve found that around 30-40% attempt this in some form. This makes the entire hiring process longer, less reliable, and more expensive. A candidate may cheat in Round 1, get invited to a face to face Round 2 interview, and only then you discover they weren’t genuine. That results in a complete waste of time, money, and resources. We have even seen a small number of candidates try to cheat in live video interviews, although that number is very low, close to 1 percent, because most candidates know it is far easier to get caught in a live environment.
At Pare, we’ve built systems and tools specifically to identify these behaviours early, allowing us to reject such candidates in Round 1 itself.
Our process starts with CV analysis, which runs in the backend and assigns each candidate a CV score based on our logic. Only candidates scoring above 75 percent move to Round 1 screening. Round 1 is a video based interview where candidates answer 5 structured questions.
Once they submit their answers, our Amazon Ads evaluators review the responses and assign marks based on our weighting system. We typically observe 30-40% cheating attempts in this stage alone. This is where our AI detection layer comes in. It evaluates eye movement, background noise, multi tab or external reference behaviour, response timing and latency patterns, speech patterns, and other red flag indicators. Based on these signals, the system generates an AI detection risk score. When we combine both the PPC evaluation and the AI risk evaluation, we get a final verdict.
We built all of this over the last few months because we wanted to improve the entire hiring process in a rigorous and measurable way. When we started, everything was manual and risky, but in just 6 months we have massively improved our operations and removed most points of failure.
If you are looking to hire a Senior Amazon Ads Manager, you should check us out. We have minimized the entire painful hiring process and only present candidates who are genuinely hands on with Amazon Ads and capable of managing your accounts from day 1 without training. If you have suggestions, we would love to hear them. And if you are a candidate looking for better opportunities, feel free to apply — we have multiple open roles.
