I have never seen a brand so dominant on

Amazon

. This brand.....

1. Dominates categories with stiff competition from manufacturers in the US and China

2. Launches products that grow the entire category

3. Has a badass name that a 8-year-old must have come up with

4. Helped me find a gift for my wife that she loves.

The brand is Ninja.

They totally dominate categories on Amazon. They average 30%+ market share in so many large kitchen appliance categories.

These products have high price points that have lower-priced knockoffs.

So they win in many directions.... but.... how do they do it?

Marketing:

1. With $700 million in annual advertising, 40% of that goes to social platforms like TikTok and Pinterest.

2. UGC goes hard. We're talking billions of impressions.

3. High-profile endorsements... the David Beckham strategy. Now this one is less interesting. Not everyone has that kind of access.

Product Development

1. Obsessive consumer problem-solving.

2. Fast prototyping with social feedback loops

3. 25 new products every year with over 1100 engineers.

TAKEAWAYS

They do the same playbook as many Amazon Sellers. They just do it at a much bigger scale. They're a formidable competitor, and their obsession with product development will keep them one step ahead of anyone in their category.

What do you think is the biggest takeaway from Ninja?
