Prime Day prep mistake that’ll quietly wreck your performance:

👉 Leaving your bidding strategies on autopilot.

Before the madness hits,

go back and look at what you’re actually running:

Dynamic Up & Down

ROAS-focused bidding

Any “set it and forget it” settings

These can work fine on a random Tuesday.

On Prime Day? They can go off the rails.

Dynamic Up & Down can spike bids hard when volume surges.

ROAS-focused bidding can throttle reach right when traffic is peaking.

If you wait until the big day to find out… it’s too late.

✅ Do the work ahead of time:

Wrap up all testing and adjustments at least a week before Prime Day.

That gives you room to validate changes and avoid panic tweaks when things are already live.

Also, quick creative check:

Are your ads up to date?

Are CTRs solid?

If something’s working, leave it alone.

Tinkering for the sake of tinkering is how good campaigns get broken.

I’ve seen too many accounts spiral because someone decided to “optimize” at the 11th hour.

Don’t be that story.

Last-minute changes are how peak seasons get killed.

Early prep is how you keep performance (and your sanity) intact.
