Spotlighting 3 great friends I’ve made through this wonderful industry.
Ooh friends.
When I say friends, I mean we chat at weekends - have that!
Why these 3?
Well, I met all 3 in the last couple days and it’s a slow news day 😂😅.
They’re also doing some great work in our industry.
They’ve also been a great support and cheerleaders of me and what I’m trying to do, build and we have a lot of fun.
James Northcott - CEO of Toucan - you’ve probably seen James running around living the bloody dream. James and I have known each other about 6 years now. We started meeting up frequently when I joined 3Search in January 2023 and the friendship has kicked on and we fortunately meet pretty frequently (when he’s not in Bali - as he’s not invited me to visit yet) for egg parties and chat about everything literally everything. It goes from super serious to super silly back to semi serious and giggling stupidly. James is the reason I’ve been doing so much travel to the US, it was his idea to crack on with certain events and we put that into action immediately. So the US folks who I’ve met along the way, you have James to thank! Credit to James he’s built a fantastic fully global business with some fantastic people and has a great reputation on the Amazon space.
Adam Stinson - EU Lead of SPS Commerce Europe - what a wonderful and funny man. We were first introduced at AmafestUK - Amazon Sellers Conference in Brighton in 2024 by Jill Sowerby, when she said ‘I’ve been told I need to know you’, back then I had zero idea we’d end up here lol. He’s been a mega supporter of our Amazon Community Events and one of the reasons we’ve been able to push the literal boat out! I’ve introduced him to a lot of my clients in the last 2 years and the feedback is always first class, and he genuinely cares about smashing my it for the industry and getting that 💰 back for clients. This year we went to Belfasts first ever Fleadh together with our other halves and had the best and silliest time, where we got slagged off by our other halves for being incredibly cool dudes. He’s like 6 foot 3 and I’m like 5 foot 8 (in shoeziez)! He’s also just completed an Ironman and not even posted about it on LinkedIn 🤯
Ben Meyer - Director of Sales, EMEA Xnurta. Ben’s an inspiring young man, that’s for sure. I met Ben last May (I think) for a midday curry after a somewhat direct conversation with Andy Sellers and became pals instantly. He moved over to the UK from the US as Xnurta’s first EU employee, and has objectively smashed it, I mean who doesn’t know Ben? It’s been really impressive to see and talk about and he’s not even 30. Like Adam he’s been a huge supporter of our Amazon Community Events and all the clients I’ve introduced to him are always mega impressed and he gives some solid advice and fun ideas too! What a guy!
