Some weeks I logged zero hours.
Agency era. Not a flex — mostly because Patagonia had no signal and my budget Dell had no chance.
How that actually went:
> Three months running an Amazon ads agency from South America
> Clients in the US, Europe and Australia, none of whom knew
> Days offline in Peru and Colombia
> Team lead with 10 years managing Amazon ads daily
> He hired another ads manager without me
> I found out after
That last one should have terrified me. It didn't. It was the first honest evidence the accounts weren't running on me.
Brands ask who's covering when their manager is off. Fair question. But the real one is whether the account survives a week without the founder looking at it.
Most agencies would fail that test 🤔
