HUGE agentic announcement from Walmart. They just built a way for ChatGPT, Gemini, Muse and whatever agent to shop Walmart through an official data feed instead of clicking around the website like a confused human.
Up to now, “agentic commerce on Walmart” mostly meant an LLM reading Walmart and then handing the shopper a link. This turns the agent into something that can search, pick, and check out on the customer’s behalf with Walmart’s blessing.
This totally fits with the theme of Walmart being open ecosystem with agents. The good news for brands is what you do on Walmart isn't just impacting Sparky. Your Walmart listing now feeds ChatGPT, Gemini and Muse directly, and those agents can buy on the spot instead of just linking out.
