MARK'S SNACKS is going up against a brand doing $1.2M/month on Amazon.

And I think their listings could do a better job showing shoppers why Mark's is worth trying.

In my last post, David and I broke down how Mark's Chips could start competing with Boulder Canyon for non-branded searches like "healthy chips" and "avocado oil chips."

Now we're looking at what happens when a shopper actually finds them.

Mark's has solid reviews, decent content, and a pretty compelling product. Kettle-cooked potato chips made with avocado oil, no seed oils, and a simple ingredient list.

But imagine you're shopping on Amazon and see Mark's next to Boulder Canyon.

Boulder has more reviews, more brand recognition, and a longer track record.

You're probably clicking Boulder unless Mark's gives you a pretty good reason not to.

That's where I'd make a few changes.

1. Replace the back-of-bag image with a comparison.

Image #2 on Mark's top listing is currently the back of the bag.

I'd test replacing it with a simple comparison of Mark's, Boulder Canyon, and conventional potato chips.

Show shoppers why the ingredients, oil choice, and product positioning matter.

2. Stop repeating the same selling points.

Some of the image stacks communicate the ingredients three different times.

The potatoes, avocado oil, and sea salt graphic is great. Keep that.

Use the other images to answer different questions and give shoppers more reasons to buy.

3. Give the brand story some room.

Mark's is family-owned, and it's pretty clear Mark genuinely cares about what goes into his products.

Right now, that story is getting squeezed into a few graphics and standard A+ content.

I'd explore Premium A+ and give the story more space, especially since shoppers discovering Mark's through Amazon might know absolutely nothing about the founder.

There's a reason Mark started making these chips. I'd want shoppers to understand that.

None of this requires reinventing the brand.

The foundation is already there. I'd just be more intentional about how every image helps a new customer make a purchase decision.

And Mark A. Samuel hope you're enjoying these breakdowns. Would love to hear your thoughts on our analysis and talk through a few ideas together.

I think there's something here.

That's TRUST for Mark's Chips.

Got the BUY for MARK'S SNACKS up next.
