In the six months before we took over this brand’s Klaviyo, email made them about £13k. In the six months after, £299,894.
This is a Klaviyo account we took over in April. It was a mess.
Six months later:
£821,987 total store revenue
£299,894 of it attributed to Klaviyo
Email now drives 36% of the store’s revenue. In the six months before we started, it was around 9%, and that period included Black Friday.
The store grew fast. Email grew four times faster than the store.
Email is the most profitable channel most ecommerce brands have, because the customer is already paid for. You paid Meta to get them to the site once. Every flow and campaign after that costs a send.
If you’re spending on paid and your Klaviyo is disorganised, you’re paying full price for every customer and letting most of them leave after one order. Abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase and winback either aren’t built, or were built two years ago and nobody has touched them since. The ad spend has nowhere to land.
Paid gets the customer. Retention decides what that customer is worth.
If you’re running ads and haven’t looked at your flows since they went live, send me a message. We’ll tell you what we’d fix first.
