It belongs to Amazon. Amazon will give it away.

Most brands on Vendor assume the Buy Box sits with them by default. It does not. It sits with Amazon. Amazon is the retail seller. You are the supplier.

That works until a third-party seller lists the same product cheaper. When that happens, Amazon loses the Buy Box. Your listing now shows a different seller.

Your ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ still drives traffic to that listing. But the sale goes to someone else. You funded the click. A seller you have never met took the order.

Most brands do not notice for weeks. They see the ad costs. They see the traffic. They do not see that the Buy Box moved.

It is a commercial decision Amazon makes every hour. Price, stock, fulfilment speed. Amazon picks the seller that serves the customer best.

Your brand name is on the listing. The sale belongs to whoever wins the box.

If you are spending on ads and not ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—•๐˜‚๐˜† ๐—•๐—ผ๐˜…, you are paying for someone else's revenue.
