I bought toilet paper, paper towels, a frying pan, and some beauty products during PBBD - what'd you buy? We're working on our recaps here at Pacvue but a quick sneak peak comparing from last year:
💸 Shoppers spent more per order — AOV is up +12% YoY ($51.03 vs $45.42) with strong basket growth, unlike Prime Day 2026 which saw -10% AOV YoY.
💄 Beauty is the dominant category — Surging to 35% (#1 place), followed by Apparel (28%), Essentials (26%), and Health/Wellness (21%).
💰 PBDD is perceived as similar value to Prime Day — 63% of shoppers view PBDD deals as equivalent to July Prime Day (not better), with only 57% reporting total satisfaction, which suggests deal fatigue or market saturation.
📈 Many categories are seeing big eCPM spikes — High eCPM persists, rising for Professional Facility & Hygiene (108% PBDD Day 1 vs. 2025), Consumables (+191% PBDD Day 1 vs. 2025), and Health & Wellness (+27% PBDD Day 1 vs. 2025)
Stay tuned for a full breakdown of Prime Big Deal Days (alongside Walmart Deals and Target Circle Days) performance on 10/20, when we’re launching our recap report!
