I was born in San Francisco, but I hadn’t been there in over 25 years until this week
(Man, that makes me sound old)
So I was really excited to go for UnBoxed
Both UnBoxed and San Fran didn’t disappoint
The theme of UnBoxed was AI and automation…no surprise there
Amazon Ads announced a ton of automated media buying tools such as full funnel and DVA
Heck, even the ads manager was rebranded as the Ads Agent
Yet AI still is a long ways away from automating strategy
My thesis is that the companies, including agencies like Nectar, that lean into leveraging AI to work smarter and faster are going win
And as more and more of the world becomes automated, in-person connection is more important than ever
It was so great to see our team, client partners, our partners at Amazon Ads and meet new friends
We also hosted a fantastic dinner at AB Steak
Plus I got to do some sight seeing on Monday including going to Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge park, Ghirardelli, and more
