Okay Eugene, our time has been comically short but my memories will last forever (and I’m absolutely coming back!)
Lifelong dreams achieved. Went to Hayward - aka Tracktown USA, the most historical running location in our country.
I walked Hayward Hall and saw all the trophies and history. Insane.
This morning I ran Pre’s trail, which I have wanted to do since high school. It was cool, misty, and exactly how I pictured my first run here.
I even had time to make a couple friends last night and go out for a little bit. This was shocking to me but I guess I’m on a roll.
After my very brief stay in Portland, this one stacks on to a little Oregonian memory.
What’s next?
Driving straight to the coast. Then down it until I hit Redwood. Ideally stopping for lunch, coffee, coastal lookouts, dunes?!, and anything else I see that’s cool.
What a little adventure. Need a lot more of this in my life.
