The most painful client loss I ever had wasn't from bad results. We lost them on

The most painful client loss I ever had wasn't from bad results.
We lost them on the onboarding call.
First call after signing. Client got on, heard what we were actually going to do, and said "that's not what I was told... I want to cancel."
Nine years running an Amazon agency taught me that your sales process and your ops process have to tell the exact same story. Not similar. Identical.
Because the moment a client feels like they were sold one thing and handed off to another, trust is gone. And you're not getting it back.
If you're thinking about hiring your first salesperson: before they talk to a single prospect, make them go through your actual onboarding. Not a pitch deck. The real thing.
