The jump from 10 clients to 20 doesn't feel like growth. It feels like everythin

The jump from 10 clients to 20 doesn't feel like growth. It feels like everything breaking at once.

At 10 accounts, a good account manager can hold most of it in their head. They know which campaigns need attention. They remember which clients are sensitive about response time. They catch things before they become problems because they're close enough to the work.

At 20, that stops working.

The same person covering twice the accounts isn't twice as productive. They're half as attentive to each one. Things that used to get caught on a Tuesday morning scroll don't get caught until a client asks on Friday afternoon.

The agencies that scale past 20 without quality dropping aren't hiring faster. They're systematizing earlier. Documented workflows before headcount. Monitoring that doesn't depend on someone remembering to check.

The ones that just add clients and hope the team stretches - they plateau. Or they churn clients until the roster stabilizes at whatever number the team can actually manage.

What's the breaking point you hit when you scaled your account load?
