👉 Wasted ad spend on Amazon isn’t always obvious — but it’s always costly. Most advertisers don’t lose budget in one big mistake. It’s a bunch of small leaks.↳ A broad match keyword showing your ad for irrelevant searches.↳ A campaign with too many products sharing the same budget, targeting and bids.↳ Bids left running on placements that never convert.↳ Or simply ignoring the goldmine of data Amazon already gives you.Together? They drain your ROI.So… how do you stop it? Here are a series of steps that I see working all the time:⬇️ Minimise irrelevant targetingAuto and Broad campaigns are often the culprits. Regularly reviewing your Search Term Reports helps you spot wasted clicks and add negatives to protect your budget. At the same time, focusing on maximising impression share for your highest-converting keywords will help increase ROI as well as improve ranking.🗂 Keep your campaigns leanStructured campaigns that are segmented by product family can be better controlled with budget and placement optimisation. This also involves limiting to 15–20 keywords inside a campaign, and separate campaigns for the different match types, so performance is easier to monitor and optimise.📊 Strategic biddingBefore expanding, maximise spend where you already convert. Increase bids for top-performing placements like Top of Search (or sometimes other placements - you can check placement reports). Reduce or pause spend on those that consistently underdeliver.🔍 Regular AnalysisPlacement, Search Term, Purchase Product reports — these are great tools for uncovering inefficiencies and spotting opportunities. Weekly is a good enough frequency.🧪 TestingCreatives, headlines, videos, match types… small changes over time can compound into significant performance gains. I find regular A/B testing to be immensely useful.Where’s the first place you’d check for budget leaks in your Amazon campaigns?hashtag#amazon hashtag#amazonppc hashtag#sponsoredads
