CPG leaders are too focused on chasing “bright & shiny objects” while neglecting the essential #ecommerce fundamentals.
The fact is:
Your brands can’t win with #ChatGPT Instant Check Out (or any other AI shopping experience) if they can’t stay in stock.
They can’t win if you’re not investing in #ReviewSyndication as a foundational #DigitalShelf practice—or if you haven’t implemented consistent #ContentSyndication yet.
They can’t win if your portfolio isn’t designed for ecommerce with the right unit economics and minimized channel conflict.
And they certainly can’t win if you’re leaking millions in lost revenue to retailer chargebacks, invoice shortages and other broken accounting processes.
Too many #CPG leaders chase the next shiny object before ensuring their organizations have nailed the basics.
Here’s the truth:
Your #Ecommerce team has been asking for resources to execute the fundamentals for years.
If you’d listened and given them what they needed, you’d already be 80% of the way toward having your products primed to win #AI shopping agents.
I know winning AI shopping is “sexy. “
But in commerce, success rests on how well you operationalize the “boring stuff” so the sexy stuff has a strong foundation to stand on and scale.
