Anyone testing what makes Alexa for Shopping recommend a product?
Posted by u/Historical-Bus-759
Amazon replaced Rufus with Alexa for Shopping in May, and there’s no application or setting to get your products in it. Amazon hasn’t said how it picks.
I’ve been going through competitor listings and writing down the questions Alexa suggests under each one. The same handful repeat. If your listing doesn’t answer them, I’d guess a competitor’s does.
What I’m planning to test: filling every backend attribute, putting plain answers to those questions in the bullets and A+, and asking Alexa the same 10 or so buyer questions each week to see which brands get named.
Has anyone tracked this yet? Curious what’s moved your products in or out of the answers.

Been poking at this for about a month, the backend attributes seem to matter more than i thought. filled in like 80% of them and suddenly my product started showing up for a couple questions
also noticed the A+ content with direct q&a style text seems to get picked up better than the regular description, like alexa pulls from there first
what questions you seeing most often? mine keeps asking about material, warranty, and "what's included in the box"
