Prime Day is moving to June.
The real issue is what that shift does to your catalog readiness timeline.
The first part is just about adjusting promotions, updating creatives, brief the PPC team. Done.
But the catalog layer does not work on the same clock as your ad account.
If your listings have incorrect variation structures or fields that were never populated through the flat file layer, no promotion is going to give that performance you are looking for, because let's be real, the content of your listing is what determines whether Rufus and COSMO find it during a high-traffic event.
Here is what the timeline actually looks like from a catalog standpoint.
Since this will be in late June, that means you approx 9 weeks for Amazon's algorithm to start indexing behavior and relevance signals weeks earlier. So first thing would be to match the product data with the shopper's intent before the event opens.
If your listing data is incomplete at the field level, the system is already making decisions about your visibility before you launch a single deal.
So pull your Category Listing Report now. It shows you every attribute Amazon has on file for your ASINs, including the fields you have never touched. Find the gaps. Prioritize the ones tied to search and discoverability. Then, build a flat file correction pass before the catalog window closes.
To check your empty fields, check out the Flat File Optimizer: https://lnkd.in/dt22ec4i
And if it feels like you will run out of time, let us know, we will make it all for you, so your listings stand out when AI scans it.
A date change is just logistics. A catalog gap during a four-day, $24 billion traffic event is a revenue problem.
