Product titles drive Amazon catalog indexing and search visibility. Optimize by using AI analysis for structure, front-loading key terms, and adapting strategy based on product type.

Why are titles so important on Amazon?

Because it's the main attribute required for a product to even start indexing in the catalog.

Your product title is where relevance begins.

Here's 3 tips to get it right:

🔶 1. Use AI to reverse engineer titles in your niche

Run the Data Dive Chrome extension on your niche.

Download the CSV and ask ChatGPT to analyze the data for:
- Best title length range
- Common title structure patterns (e.g. Brand - Product - Features - Size)

Try to mirror that format with your title.

🔶 2. Front-load the good stuff

Put your highest priority keywords toward the beginning of your title.

Since titles get truncated on mobile, those keywords will be more visible to the shopper.

When a buyer sees the search term they just typed in right there in your title, it increases the probability of winning the click.

🔶 3. Consider the product type

You don’t always need to cram every keyword into your title.

The strategy should vary based on your product.

For high-volume, low-consideration products: focus more on SEO and keyword density

For branded, premium, or giftable items: consider leaning more into clarity and appeal

And remember: every shopper journey starts in SERPs.

If your title doesn’t convey relevance and grab attention, nothing else gets a chance to do its job.
