Mastering Amazon PPC with Excel. Excel can make PPC campaign management a breeze. Use CONCATENATE for large-scale keyword lists, LEFT/RIGHT to extract specific characters, and INDEX to grab values from a range. Keep it clean with Find & Replace and organised with Filters. Thanks, Adam.

Amazon PPC + Microsoft Excel | Favorite Tips & Use Cases!

Here are my favorite formulas & tools within Excel for campaigns & keyword creation:

➡ =CONCATENATE(A1," ",A2) - Probably the formula I use the most. I utilize this formula for creating nomenclature & keyword lists at scale.

➡ =LEFT/RIGHT(A2,2) - The opposite of CONCATENATE. This can be used to extract specific characters in a cell. The LEFT and RIGHT functions request the same exact info - Where the text is located, and how many characters you want to extract from the left or right.

➡ =INDEX(A1:A99, 25) - INDEX retrieves the value at a given location in a range. In this example, INDEX would pull the value in the 25th row in column A.

➡ Command+shift+V - Pasting text only without formatting. Very useful if you're trying to copy text created via formula - This will prevent copying & pasting the specific formula when copying text created BY a formula.

➡ Find & Replace - Great for cleaning up keyword spelling variations, characters within campaign nomenclature, or simply compounding keyword lists & creating additional variations.

➡ Filter - Probably a favorite for most :) Simple to use, easy to segment large campaign or keyword lists based on specific characters. Works best if you have structured & consistent nomenclature.

Full disclosure, I am NOT an Excel wizard, but these simple tips & tricks have helped me tremendously in terms of efficiency & organization. Drop your favorite Excel formulas, tips & tricks below!
