If you want to grow revenue without spending more on ads, focus on improving your conversion rate
Brands generally focus too heavily on their paid media
But that's only half the equation
It's easier to focus on paid media because you can make relatively easy tweaks to campaigns and potentially realize improvements faster
(as opposed to making creative changes and publishing them)
Paid media only drives traffic
Your landing page is what converts
So the longer you put off optimizing your PDPs, the more you lose out on conversions
And your ad spend is typically less efficient
Brands that have scale on PDPs only need to improve conversion rates by a basis point or two to gain singificant improvements
However, to make creative updates efficiently and effectively you need multiple processes
You need a research, design, and testing process
The purpose of the research is to determine what information should be included in the infographics.
You should be diving into reviews, competitor listings, market research, etc.
The design process should be based on the research and data that is fed back from the testing process
Marketplaces like Amazon are giving brands more and more tools to test creative
Use them!
And do you own data analytics to control for variables
We continually build on our research, design, and testing processes at Nectar
Our attitude is that we're never finished
We've even added and altered our creative service model to support more testing for our brand partners
Below are some sample infographics we did for Earth Rated
These are top-selling products that we helped them with after the rebrand
(I love the rebrand, FWIW)
We went with making the value props clear and concise
Which we distilled down from brand feedback, reviews, and more as part of our process
I've read many studies that consumers only read infographics that can be digested in approximately 1-3 seconds when shopping online
That means your key points need to come across quickly
We strive to make our infographics easily digestible
We don't want shopping to be challening or feel like homework for consumers
In my opinion, improving your image set is generally the #1 thing you can do to improve conversion rates
