Why having a campaign structure is important?
➡️When discussing campaign structure, many people focus on product, ad group, match type segregation, and naming conventions. While these are important, it’s crucial to understand why proper structure is essential for every account. Establishing a solid campaign structure serves as the foundation for any account, and once perfected, decision-making becomes more strategic and straightforward.
➡️For me, campaign structure is about understanding the account's strengths, identifying weaknesses, and discovering opportunities. When we onboard a new account, we begin with the necessary segregations—organizing product and category targeting, segmenting keywords by match types, and ensuring one ad group per campaign. This provides a comprehensive overview of the account setup.
➡️Once these steps are completed, we analyze which match types are performing well and whether all available match types have been tested. Similarly, we review all ad types in the account to ensure each strategy has been explored. If not, we begin testing the untried strategies.
➡️We've found that restructuring campaigns can have an immediate impact, often delivering better results within just a week.
