Boost your keyword depth by using reverse-ASIN on competitors. This involves finding keywords linked to a product, using tools like Merchant Words, data-dive, and Helium10. This helps identify new keywords to target.

Michael Erickson Facchin

People talk a lot about KW research, and sometimes…people can forget the basics. A SUPER easy process to boost your KW depth & variety is a simple reverse-ASIN on your competitors.

I have 3 tools I use to do Reverse-ASIN’s:

1. First, what is a ‘reverse ASIN’ lookup? Instead of typing in a keyword and getting a list of products that appear for that keyword - you instead type in a product and get a list of keywords that product appears for.

2. I usually do my Reverse ASIN’ing inside Merchant Words first. I find they have better data for low & medium keywords.

3. I’ll then jump over the data-dive which allows me to bulk reverse ASIN.

4. And then I’ll usually round it out with Helium10, although I find that the bottom 50% of the keywords aren’t useful.

5. After that, I find keywords that I don’t appear for, new ideation, and identify which I can conquest on.

Happy KW researching!
