Why amazon suggested kw is not 100% accurate?
Have you ever scrolled through the recommended keywords on Amazon while creating campaigns and asked yourself, Why are these irrelevant keywords Amazon is showing?
Amazon's algorithm doesn't necessarily provide high intent keywords. Instead, it takes ideas from:
1. Historical search patterns and matches them with product listings.
2. Relevance to category (sometimes loosely)
3. Advertisers’ bidding behavior
But the point is Amazon is more about expanding reach, rather than necessarily conversions. That’s why there are so many broad, low intent keywords or irrelevant keywords included. More exposure to them, but not necessarily more sales to us and ultimately more money on Amazon pocket.
Then how to use those suggested keywords in our favor?
1. Don't take all suggested keywords blindly, verify that whether the keywords is relevant for your product or not.
2. Check whatever keywords Amazon is suggesting, are those keywords have search volume or not.
3. Focus on keywords that actually convert at good ACOS.
Amazon gives us the information, yet PPC managing is entirely in how we operate with it.
