🚨 You HAVE to Read This if You Use Suggested Bids

Did you know that Amazon’s suggested bid changes depending on the bidding strategy you select?

Here’s why that matters – and the hidden challenge to watch out for.

Amazon offers various bidding strategies, each with a unique suggested bid.

For instance, Dynamic Bids - Up & Down usually has the highest bid since Amazon can increase it up to 100% when a sale is likely. Makes sense, right?

But here’s the challenge: Amazon places the campaign bidding strategy selection AFTER you’ve added keywords and set bids.

That means:
By default, Amazon’s suggested bid is based on the Dynamic Bids - Up & Down strategy.

If you switch to Dynamic Bids - Down Only (our preferred approach), your bids could end up significantly higher than needed for this strategy.

Recommendations:
1️⃣ Amazon: Adjust the UI to let advertisers select bidding strategy before adding keywords and setting bids. Amazon Ads Partners Amazon Ads

2️⃣ Advertisers: Set your bidding strategy first, then add keywords and apply suggested bids to ensure alignment.
