Adapting to New Shopping Trends on Amazon
✅If you look at these statistics, you will realize that every generation is shopping on Amazon, from Millennials to Gen Z. This trend is evident in the Brand Analytics demographic reports.
✅Customers in the age brackets of 18-24 and 25-34 are increasing across all categories.
✅We also noticed these changes during Prime Day, when the sales trend remained steady across both days. There were not many fluctuations, which made day-parting decisions very confusing and challenging.
✅I believe day-parting will become obsolete in the future, as the new generation does not have a fixed shopping pattern. During Prime Day and the ongoing Labor Day sales, we are seeing a trend where a significant amount of traffic and orders are coming in between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., which was not common before.
✅We need to focus more on the creative side to tackle these new demographic challenges. This includes creating multiple video ads for the same product to test view rates, experimenting with different custom images across the product line, improving store pages, and utilizing all the social features available on Amazon, such as Posts and Creator Connections etc.
✅These strategies will help engage the new generation and increase product awareness.
