Creative Insights for US Beauty Advertisers Crafting Sponsored Brands Videos that Drive Clicks
Amazon just dropped some insights for creating SB videos in the beauty category, and we’re hosting a webinar to share insights from other categories too! Here’s the lowdown:
1️⃣ Keep it Short & Sweet
For short videos (6–15s), concise on-screen text gets the message across.
Medium videos (16–30s)? Make sure your brand name stays on-screen for about half the video.
✅+15% CTR for short videos with text on-screen for 1/4 vs. the entire video.
✅+12% CTR for medium videos with the brand name on-screen for half the video.
2️⃣ Brand Visibility is Key
In short videos, make your brand name large and readable. For all videos (6–45s), place your brand name in the top left or bottom right corner.
✅+34% CTR for short videos where the brand name is 1/3 of the frame.
✅+11% CTR for all videos with the brand name in the top left or bottom right.
3️⃣ Put a Face to the Brand
Short videos with a person in the first 3 seconds perform better. Avoid groups (2+ people) early on.
✅+12% CTR when a person appears in the first 3 seconds.
✅-17% CTR when groups appear early on.
