2025 Amazon Fee Updates: Stability with Opportunities for Savvy Sellers
Many sellers are celebrating Amazon's bringing much-needed stability after a year of adjustments since there have been no increases in US referral or FBA fees and no new fee types introduced.
But there’s more:
• Lower Fees for Bulky Products: If you sell large items, you’ll see a reduction of $0.58 per unit on inbound placement service fees for minimally split shipments starting January 15, 2025.
• Fee Waivers for New Products: From December 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, Amazon will waive the inbound placement service fee for up to 100 units of qualifying new ASINs under the FBA New Selection Program.
• Targeted Discounts for Growth: Greater fee incentives will be available for high-demand, everyday essentials or globally popular products. These time-bound discounts begin January 2025 and will be updated regularly.
However, while this stability is welcome, it’s important to remember that the past year's challenges, like adapting to new fee structures and operational shifts, haven’t disappeared. Sellers must remain focused on protecting their margins, even without the added pressure of new fees.
While there’s no added burden, the financial ripple effects of past changes still linger. Sellers should treat 2025 as a year to consolidate gains, refine strategies, and protect profits.
Stability doesn’t mean inactivity. It’s an opportunity to adjust for long-term success.
