The 50% rebate applies to Amazon’s already discounted product range and can be combined with offered rebates for larger basket sizes.
But what’s great for shoppers could be the beginning of a race to the bottom:
Asian-based rivals like Temu and Shein won’t just sit around, but respond with their own holiday discount offers.
Which poses several questions:
Will we see a similarly aggressive stance on promotions on Amazon’s Core marketplace?
Or will Retail Media investments from vendors and sellers largely drive volume in Q4?
