Amazon Ads API unifies campaign endpoints into single interface. New update reduces 190 API variations to 16, streamlining development and maintenance of ad tools while simplifying documentation for non-technical users.

A very exciting release for those of us on the Ad-Tech side that work with the Amazon Ads API.

This rollout gives a single, unified API for all Sponsored Ads Campaign endpoints.

Prior to this, as the text says, there are over 190 variations across all 4 Ad Types for create/read/update/delete operations.

Reducing this to 16 by having one single API will greatly simplify not only the buildout of new tools like Bulk Launchers, Search Term Scrapers, Bid Optimizers, etc, but it also helps with maintenance.

I was able to experiment with this while it was still closed, and I do feel quite confident that this will be a big win on the product/dev side.

This also simplifies the docs overall for those who are not tech-savvy and need to have a minimal understanding of the API to relay instructions to their developers.

If you want to check out an Onboarding tool I build that relies heavily on the Campaign Management endpoints, check out this post: https://lnkd.in/gkcYnjux

Amazon Marketing Stream will also be positively impacted by this update – check out this post on all things Stream: https://lnkd.in/gtQacm4Q
