Yesterday while cross checking the accounts, I noticed something odd. One of my accounts, which was 15% up YoY, suddenly showed -8% down YoY. My first thought was what went wrong suddenly?
After digging deeper, I realized it’s the Spring Sale effect. Last year, the sale ran from March 20th-25th, and this year, it’s from March 25th-30th. So, if you’re seeing a YoY dip in your account as well, don’t stress. The traffic surge is coming and conversions will pick up.
Here’s how I’m preparing:
1. Protecting brand keywords with a strong TOS presence to block competitors.
2. Keeping budgets low for now but scaling up the moment the sale begins.
3. Going aggressive on defense strategy campaigns.
4. Running video and banner ads on deal ASINs to capture NTB customers.
5. Prioritizing ASINs having strong inventory to avoid stockouts issues during sale.
6. Had saved enough budget for this sale so low budget will not be a constraint for me.
I know my sleep cycle will take a hit, but I am ready. What are your plans for the Spring Sale?
